In this modernization of a historic Dutch Colonial Connecticut Home. the clients wanted to create loftier, sun-filled spaces for cooking and entertaining. The dining room and kitchen were enhanced with bow windows to bring in daylight, and create views of the landscape.. The kitchen was expanded to include a pantry+bar, and an attic was eliminated to create a soaring cathedral ceiling. The gardens were enlarged to take advantage of a natural creek traversing the property.
